If you’re a fan of the show, the following probably isn’t going to make you happy, but if you hate us and think we’re the devil’s spawn (thx for the emails, btw, I absolutely adore being compared to Satan, best compliment ever), this will probably make your night:
TWiF is going on hiatus!
Here’s why - as many of you already know, Martin started his new rockstar job this week, which is awesome… and has also severely limited his free time to do things such as shooting TWiF on Friday afternoons. It’s totally probable that in time we’ll figure out how to carve out the necessary amount of time each week to restart the show, but at this point, we can’t say exactly when.
We’ve also been contemplating the future of TWiF with Leo and his team ever since the show had to switch gears in October, when I lost my driver’s license and was unable to drive to Petaluma to shoot the show in person. Netcams are great and all, but the overall quality of the show has suffered, and as a result, so have our viewership numbers. Because of the way TWiT is set up and because my hands are tied, it makes sense not to continue with a less than stellar product, for us and for you.
So we’re going dark for a bit. Hopefully we’ll resurface sooner than later. I love you all and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your support. If I could bake a cake that showed how much I appreciate your support, it would be the BIGGEST CAKE EVER, SO BIG OMG SO BIG. SO. BIG.
I hate saying this, but… stay tuned. If you have any great ideas or wisdom to share with us in the meantime, here’s the place. God save the Queen.

I'm happy for Martin. It was getting sad listening to him talk about how he didn't have a real job. I was more of a casual listener so I just downloaded and listened to TWIF every so often, but not every week. I noticed a drop in quality so I kind of saw this coming. Anyway, good luck Sarah. I've had you on my mind since your TechTV/ G4 days. You were always my fav. ;)

Its too bad the show had to go on hiatus. It made me laugh and made my Mondays worth going in to work for. Hope you get your licence back and maybe restart the show one day.

I have a particular soft spot for TwiF as I lost my job just around the time Marty did and finally secured a new one just a little earlier than he did. Wish him (and you, Sarah) all the best. Hope he kills on the copywriting gig, although I think he should have gone for the London game show... after Bill Murray he's like the perfect game show host.
If TWiF is over, that's a bummer, but I hope at a minimum you guys carve out at least one giant finale and do a lightening round True or Poo.

This week in no fun. I'm sad now.
It's really sad if episode 49 is indeed the last TWiF. I really hope that TWiF comes back, it was easily my favorite show - on TV or online. In fact, I liked it so much that I made sure when registering for college classes to plan out Friday's classes before TWiF's live premier on the east coast, haha. It was so nice to be able to listen to a good TWiF and unwind every Friday.
I've watched you both since the TechTV says - Sarah on TSS and Martin mainly on Unscrewed and you guys are both awesome. Here's hoping that I will see y'all both back together sometime soon!

It was the right decision. The show didnt get the attention it needed from Sarah and Martin. I really enjoy Miss Lane but Twif was sloppy. There was apparently very little effort to produce content pre show and it showed. Shame coz I really like Sarah, she is my fav woman in the tech scene (and very pretty).. Hubba hubba
On one hand this really sucks since TWiF is one of my favorite podcasts. But on the other this is good for me cause while it is one of my favorites it is one of a dozen weekly that I listen too and it gets hard to find time to get them all in.
I miss you two's crazy weekly antics. Crazzzzzzzzzzzzy.

I've been a fan of you ever since Tech TV. I'll watch and or listen to your shows no matter what you are on and I hope that you can bring back TWIF in the future. Until then, I hope you and Marty have a good vacation. I also hope that you start having a more vocal role in the whole women in tech thing since you are a leader and there are a lot of women that look up to you. My room mate being one.
