The Good Doctor

Behold my new skincare system. Yeah, I'm a sucker... but a happy sucker!

Update: Ok commenters, I'm sort of kidding about this being my new skincare system, but I do love Dr. Weil. Get more info on a couple of my favorite books here and here.

V for Victory

As my moblog indicates, over the weekend I was in New York for a sneak preview of "V for Vendetta," the new comic-inspired flick written and produced by the "famous-for-a-few-bizarre-reasons-but-mostly-for-the-Matrix-movies" Wachowski brothers. And I'm thrilled to report that I absolutely loved it! Totally rocked. Great flick. There was a time where I'd have written a really long explanation of why I loved it, but this is not one of those times.

The film opens on March 17th and I hope you all have a chance to see it between Irish car bombs. Until then, you'll have to settle for the trailers and my brilliant opinion.

As we march forward into March (!!!!!), I hope you're all enjoying yourselves, hugging your pets, and saying nice things to the people you love. Oscars this Sunday!

PS- IRL, Natalie Portman makes me look like a cow. She may actually be world's first real pixie. A ridiculously cute one at that.

We're Idiots, Babe...

In a recent documentary, he claimed his lyrics were never meant to be analyzed the way they've been for decades. But a Bob Dylan song is still quite a treat to dissect, if you ask me.

Sick Again? This is Horse Pucky!

Hey friends, Sarah here. I wish I could say I was feeling tiptop, but I appear to have brought back the ebola virus from Sundance. It's sorta like my chest is on fire and I'm breathing in chards shards of glass. Hopefully my meds will save the day before this saga takes a turn for the worst and I start coughing up flaming balls of phlegm. Have I ever mentioned how much I don't like the word "phlegm"?

Other than this ridiculously unfair health setback, things are swell around these parts. I'll tell you more about it soon. Yes, you.

PS- I just looked up symptoms of the ebola virus online, and it actually sounds a lot worse than what I've got. Diagnosis reclassifed to "chest cold".

2006 is...

...going to be a great year. I'm sure of it. My 2005 didn't start out so hot, but ended up finishing sky high on the awesome-o-meter. You know how they say you never know what's around life's corners? Something like that.

Tomorrow I'm trudging back to work after two weeks off for the holidays, which included my first ever visit to Florida, where I spent a day fishing off the coast of Marco Island among scores of dolphins! Tres cool.

Happy New Year, everyone. See you Friday on the tube.
