SIP SMART!

Alright tea aficionados, tea novices, and tea-curious folk,

You're in luck, because I'm the proud new owner of my VERY OWN signature green tea blend at Adagio Teas called "Sip Smart"! This is absolutely one of the coolest things that's ever happened to me. My very own tea! And trust me, it's delicious. Adagio is the real deal and their stuff is top shelf. Two cups of "Sip Smart" in place of your regular cup of joe and you'll be on FIRE, I guarantee you. It's caffeinated, but a lot more hydrating than coffee. Plus, you can enjoy more of it without getting jittery or sour in the tummy.

If you're looking for a healthy way to kick-start your day or combat your afternoon slump, I think you'll really love this tea blend (my custom mixture of green pekoe, hojicha, and mighty rooibos leaves). If you've never prepared loose leaf tea before, all you need is hot water and a strainer. I love Adagio's all-in-one infuser, "IngenuiTea" and recommend it highly. Soak a pinch of leaves for 3-5 minutes, and enjoy. That's it!

The entire popSiren team made their own blends too, so between the five of us, you're totally, 100% covered.

Oh, and I'm looking to trounce Corbin in the stats, lest you think that this is all in good, clean fun. You know me better than that, don't you? I want to drink, I want to win, and I want you! Spread the good word, and SIP SMART!

About how many cups would a 4 oz. tin yield?

Oh, around 20, depending how strong you want your tea steeped each time. You can use less tea and steep for longer if you want to make it last (that's what I do).

How would you describe the flavor? I've never had hojicha or rooibos.Love your new show btw.

oh thanks. me and my sister have become tea fanatics. she thinks whole foods is too expensive...ill definitely pass on this website. i think she will love the idea since the teas are loose leaf instead of bagged. i bought some green tea loose leaf style from japan in february but i havent tried it nor opened the container. the all in one infuser seems like an awesome present.

i dont drink caffeinated tea but this tea sounds oishii.

Sounds cool. I'll get my mother to check it out, she stocks up on a lot of tea. Do you get paid for any sales, or is this something anyone on the site can do?

I confess I bought KiKi's tea but I'll try yours next. I've just gotten into teas. I buy mine at Earth Fare (similar to Whole Foods). I will be curious to see if I notice a difference in quality.

I'm rather a tea novice, drinking mostly black teas (English Breakfast is my favorite) or Green tea. As soon as I can, I'd like to try your blend.

I'm just curious, why don't you ever mention Brendan anymore? How is he? How is married life back in SF... I LOVED, loved, loved (!) your blog about your relationship and travels and I think you have a gift for writing that kind of thing and I guess I just miss it.

I do read some other bloggers like deuce and pioneer woman but I miss you guys too!

Woohoo! Nice job Sarah! I hope you're happy to know that I purchased a tin of your Sip Smart over the weekend! :D Always been a huge tea fan, and how often do you get to have collectible tea tins? hehe! You're amazing!

Hey Sarah,

I tried to order your tea blend and they were all out of the 4 oz and there was no other option...any chance they are going to offer more? I ordered the Diggnation teas and really "Digg" them....haha...sorry..bad pun...I want to order yours so maybe you could convince them to make more. Love the new show, keep up the great work.

i am so buying your tea. i was looking for something besides lipton. i suppose i could drink a couple bawls at work; but tea would be better. it's cool that that tea maker is microwavable. they won't like me have a coffee pot, electric burner, tea maker or frig in my office. don't know why; i got plenty of outlets.

I'm a big tea drinker, but not hot tea. Hot tea is an abomination created by the Devil himself...that's why its hot. How does your tea taste cold?

Just sipped my first Sip Smart (hot) - very interesting. I like the combo. Must be the hojicha that gives it a slight roasted tang. I also like the UV protective clear lid on the container. Congrats on the 2X stomping you are giving all the other sirens in order totals.

Glad you like, Jay! And yes, it's the hojicha you're tasting.. toasted leaves. Tell all your friends! SIP SMART FTW!! :)

I'm still recovering from some Sip Stupid (tequila) over the weekend.

I should pick up some Sip Smart to help me recover. You know ... the whole Yin / Yang thang. ;)

Okay, I feel like a doof for not realizing that you had a new show! And if they're not sold out still, I'll definitely try out your tea blend - we're tea addicts in my house! :)

I finally had my first cup of your tea! And I have to say that you did a mighty fine job in concocting your blend. Thanks.P.s. Your doing a great job on popSiren, but Rev3 Gazette sorely misses you. Hippie is really not that entertaining. lol.

Hi, Sarah! I just got my Sip Smart in the mail today and I can't wait to try it! It smells amazing. Adagio was wonderful and threw in a sample of Birthday tea (probably just because) but it was funny because my birthday was just yesterday. It was nice!
