I know you want to know...

...so here you go.

Playboy Deets

Believe it or not, I had no idea TTV/Playboy had even gotten this far. It pays to snoop around! Stay tuned, as I will be.

Well since none of the girls are being too upfront as to wheter they actually want to do it or not, we don't know.

But maybe they do want to do it. I mean, being choosen for playboy is a huge honor, how do you know they don't see it that way.

I'm sure none of this was forced on ANY of them, which is probably why some didn't even participate in the poll. I think some of you people are acting like tech t.v. threatened their jobs if they didnt', I seriously doubt that... and I'm sure if Kevin had a huge problem with it he wouldn't have let her even be in the poll, or not let her, I mean she can do what she wants I'm sure but if he really didn't want her to do it I'm sure she wouldn't.

No one's forcing anyone to do anything, including forcing you to vote. I however see voting as a way to support the girls of tech t.v.

damn, why is pervert such a bad word. Oh yea, liking sex, damn, bad bad people. No one should like sex, if they do they are a dirty pervert (sarcasm)

BTW, it would be nice if any of these lovely ladies would actually say wheter or not they were into all this or forced at it. But they are all acting so coy about it I can't help but think surely its okay with them.
February 18, 2004 | Unregistered CommenterJohn-Paul
I'm Wondering why Jessica Corbin wasn't on the list. Even you commented on her being HOT in your who's hotter poll on the playboy site.
February 18, 2004 | Unregistered CommenterRobert
I feel that it is totally up to the ladies of Tech TV. Whatever they are comfortable doing will be a decision of their own to make. Although seeing the pictorial, would be way cool.
February 18, 2004 | Unregistered CommenterJoe
I think the main thing is that everyone respect whatever decision they make. There's nothing wrong with being a pervert as long as it's not taken past an unaccepted level and no one gets hurt. I wonder each day whether they're wearing the hello kitty panties I sent them. ;) There's nothing wrong with being an overly obsessive fanboy either. Same rules apply. Hopefully Kevin is Sarah's biggest overly obsessive fanboy. Make him say it Sarah. And when he says "I'm your fanboy!", you've got him in his place. :) Oh yeah! Nudity is not a sin people. Too bad it has a higher potential to breed lust though. I lust you Morgan Webb! Please say you lust me too! We don't need no stinking' wedding ring or computer garbage. :D We'll survive on lust alone. Welfare will cover the rest. ;)
February 18, 2004 | Unregistered CommenterHyper Smiley
Did you really send them panties? :oP Gee, here I was worried just sending any email would seem over obsessive lol.

hehe, last night, seeing morgan as an 80's valley girl was funny but strangely unattracting. Adam was even funnier.

FLYING CARS...YEA!!!!! *devil sign*

I always remember thinking, in 2000 I'll be 22. I'll be an adult. I would imagine doing adult things and being all grown up. Now I feel like more of a kid than ever... but I thought we would have flying cars too lol.
February 18, 2004 | Unregistered CommenterJohn-Paul
...or hoverboards at least.
February 18, 2004 | Unregistered CommenterJohn-Paul
If you win, are you gonna do nude pics :-P

Hehe, just kidding (unless you are gonna, then I'm not =P)
February 18, 2004 | Unregistered Commenterphr4nk
Congrats S! ... you know you have my vote!
February 18, 2004 | Unregistered CommenterBrian
How come Jessica isn't in the contest?

But then how would I decide who to vote for!
February 18, 2004 | Unregistered CommenterMark L.
Hey Sarah,

I have to say, you've always been my TechTV favorite so when I saw your pic for in the ad for the Playboy vote...I had to pick ya. Sorry Cat. Seriously though, Kevin is a lucky dude. Not only is he a brain, but he gets to hang out with the hottest girl on television. ;-)
February 19, 2004 | Unregistered CommenterK dUb
Gentlemen,

This is from her Questionaire at PB.com...Could it be true???

PB:"If You Win, Will You Pose?"

SARAH:"That's a good question. What are we talking? I'll consider anything."

ANYTHING? C'mon, tell us the real deal gurl. We all wanna know.
February 19, 2004 | Unregistered CommenterK dUb
Other then the obvious question about where she will or will not (i vote for no)I want to know why Kris Kosach and Jessica Corbin where not involved in that pole.

Choosing Sarah was no contest but if those two had been involved I might have had to think about it for a few.
February 19, 2004 | Unregistered Commenterkingdom
J.P. Are ya' with me!? Naw Man! I'm a cheap bastard! If I were to get them panties, they'd be cotton "The fabric of our lives!" sung Aaron Neville style. I had thought about sending Morgan 3 DVD's worth of AMV's(Anime Music Video's) though. So now everyone's got me wondering who will win, and if the winner will pose. I guess we'll have to wait. :( Geez! With my conscious and enough coffee in me that it's comin' out my pores. I need a cold shower. Damned conscious! Stay cooool... Not much longer. 'pant, pant, sigh...' Whew! Minute 5! I'm no longer a minuteman! ;)
February 19, 2004 | Unregistered CommenterHyper Smiley
somehow from what I know of morgan she would probably like the anime music video's better than fan panties lol.

Hmm, well of course they all said "maybe" even they probably know votes would have been down if they flat out said no. And really what would be the point in participating if they knew flat out they wouldn't, kinda ruins the game. I just think this is too far into this to back out. I mean, what if the girl gets voted and goes "naaa, forget it" you know how many people that would piss off? I can't say enough I respect whatever decision is made regardless but you gotta see the point that if this thing made it this far it would really be a huge let down for people everywhere if they don't go through with it.

hehe, the ultimate tease, but playboy isn't known for teasing.

I'm to the point where I can't think about it anymore, even when we do find out next friday, and IF whoever poses, it would still take monthes probably to come out so... I opt for not thinking about it instead of driving myself crazy wondering.

damn, no more tech t.v. for me for a while. Guess that happens when you don't pay your direc t.v. bill :oP crap now I'm stuck with bad cable reception and bad reality shows. Me thinks the xbox is soon to start getting more play!
February 19, 2004 | Unregistered CommenterJohn-Paul
...yea I wondered about Kris. that would have made voting even harder.
February 19, 2004 | Unregistered CommenterJohn-Paul
the date was moved to march1
February 19, 2004 | Unregistered Commentereddie
pushing all the playboy aside...what does kevin have to say about all this.....i want to know:)
February 19, 2004 | Unregistered Commenterjim
i dont know why but i just used an 1980's emoticon....:)...dammit again!
February 19, 2004 | Unregistered Commenterjim
lol, why don't you email him and ask him.

way I see it, how many guys can say they are going out with a smart and funny tech loving woman who is also a playmate? Is that really something to be complaining about?
February 19, 2004 | Unregistered CommenterJohn-Paul
he's probly got his own personal copy...wink wink nudge nudge say no more
February 19, 2004 | Unregistered Commenterjim
For those of you who are wondering why Jessica isn't included, I am solidly betting that she chose not to because of her and her family's religious beliefs. Jessica's grandfather is Pat Boone...yes, _that_ Pat Boone...
February 20, 2004 | Unregistered CommenterRedman
My best of luck to you Sarah! And if you win, just remember that it's your decision if you pose nude or not and no one else's.
February 20, 2004 | Unregistered CommenterJonathan G
After verifying the information, I was furious and disheartened. I thought TechTV dropped this whole Playboy thing. The powers-that-be there must be desperate for better ratings and/or see a cheap opportunity in an attempt to increase its viewership.

I don't understand why TechTV management keeps wanting to appeal mostly to the young male audience. I hate to sound arrogant, but fact is high school and college students typically don't make enough money, if at all, to generate the revenues to sustain the network, like career workers do--not yet anyway.

In addition--and this may become a real shock to some people--there are more women in the workforce now. I work at a company where a fairly good percentage of women hold senior-level positions as vice presidents, directors, and managers. Furthermore, people have been speaking out against the Playboy/TechTV photo shoot from the beginning. Did it ever occur to anyone that this publicity stunt might actually backfire and hurt ratings?

Granted, men may currently make up the majority of TechTV's viewership, but why limit the demographic appeal?

I don't have anything against Laura Swisher, but, in her article about the poll, she said it's "great" that she and others at TechTV are being "honored" by Playboy.com. Here's a poll description excerpt from that website:

"If there's anything computer geeks love more than next-generation hardware and massive RAM, it's hot giga-babes. With the provocative motto 'New things. Turn us on,' the upstart TechTV network goes for the hard drive of nerd-dom by staffing its prime time lineup with some model-caliber techsperts. These plugged-in girls gone wired are just the motivation millions of guys need to drop their optical mice and shift their attention to the boob tube for a few hours a night."

I don't see much honor or respect in these sexual innuendos. Do you?

You may call me old fashion, but when I die, I want to be remembered for doing worthy things, fighting wrong, and doing the right thing. Being associated with some sleazy website is not something to be proud of, especially when beauty and intelligence can be truly appreciated elsewhere.

And if you have read this far, please remember this (from a Ridley Scott film):

"What we do in life echoes in eternity."
February 20, 2004 | Unregistered CommenterTed N.
Here's another quote for ya, Ted:

"Much ado about nothing..."-Shakespeare
February 20, 2004 | Unregistered CommenterMikey
I laugh at above.Pretty much all the women dogged on question. So the answer is basically no they wouldn't.As for honor, well basically you have a large number of people (including a magazine that built an empire based on beauty) saying they are hot and worthy of attention. That is incredibly flattering, kind and deserves to be recongized as such. And while you don't like playboy most respect it. As for ratings...well sex, even a hint of it, sells. Its a proven reliable formula. Only a fool would not take advantage of it specially in a workplace where the women are pretty AND intelligent. Rare combo that deserves a hat tip.If the women follow up on the "contest" with actually pictorial, then the above diatribe might be worthy of consideration. But right now its silly and out of context.
February 20, 2004 | Unregistered Commenterkingdom
who's pat boone?
February 20, 2004 | Unregistered Commenterjim
Geez Jim! Now you don't know who Pat Boone is. Lay off smokin' the green and watching Monty Python all day. Just kidding. ;)

Okay! This is in response to Ted N. Listen to the callers sometime. You'll see Tech TV has a very broad demographic. Hence the broad advertising. And mostly advertising supports Tech TV. In my opinion, the so called publicity stunt wouldn't hurt ratings. There are a lot of people who don't know of Tech TV and the crew. Viewers lost aren't worth having if they are that narrow minded. I also think it is a great honor to be propositioned by Playboy. We're not talking Hustler here. I think you've focused too hard on that excerpt into your own interpretation. Overall it states their beauty and intelligence as you've said. Sexual innuendos are just that. They're innuendos. Imagine switching places. The world see's you as a model-caliber techspert. Wouldn't you feel honored and respected? I know I would. If everyone saw me sexually I'd feel that much more special. As for the actions we take in life. It really doesn't matter. Everything balances itself out. There will never be a utopian society. There must be light and dark and the area between for our universe to exist. You're only as old as you make yourself out to be. And judge not lest ye' be judged. That last quote is meaningless to me as it is somewhat of a contradiction to individuality. Did those echoes of Playboy's make you do something you didn't wanna do? For those who have gotten this far. I will instead sing a song.

"Let it be. Let it be! Let it be. Oh!. Let it be. Speaking words of wisdom. Let it be..."

Oh, Sarah! Since Tech TV gave you Kevin. See if they'll give me to someone just as nice. ;)
February 20, 2004 | Unregistered CommenterHyper Smiley
Oh yeah! Imagine singing "Let it be" Pat Boone style. It'd actually be cool. ;) Or how about Willie Nelson style. :D New you'd think it was cool!
February 20, 2004 | Unregistered CommenterHyper Smiley
hey now i like monty python,lol............and i still dont know who pat boone is.
February 20, 2004 | Unregistered Commenterjim
Pat Boone is just like almost all of the question from the callers on tss. Its only 5 mins and a google away.
February 20, 2004 | Unregistered CommenterDave
kingdom, Prettiness and intelligence are not a rare combination in women, unless of course you are not around them much. My perception of beauty goes beyond physical; it's personal, too. What is considered silly depends on the personality of the individual. Since my post directly relates to the Playboy issue, there is nothing out of context. Speaking of respect, I will respect whomever or whatever deserves it.

Hyper-Smiley, I appreciate your more respectful tone in your response. I actually do watch Call For Help and The Screen Savers regularly, and the callers, as well as the guests, are mostly male. As for advertising, I see TechTV running the same commercials for weeks, if not months. Some are the lower quality type that runs through prime time, like that one for the stop-smoking product. This indicates to me that TechTV may not be aggressive enough in getting advertisers and companies to run their ads on the station.

Playboy.com is a pornographic site. Even though the pictures of the ladies at TechTV may be "PG-Rated", I just hated to see someone so intriguing and talented be associated with pornography, because to me it's not honorable. That's just how I feel about it. That's all.

TechTV has gone through so many changes since it was known as ZDTV, and there appears to have been some turbulent times there. I know someone personally who was laid off from TechTV many months ago. Now, it seems the network is resorting to sex to help ratings. Sure, sex sells, but it's shallow to think that this is the only way to be successful. Technology affects so many people and I believe TechTV is missing out on other markets. Like I said in an E-mail I sent to the company, TechTV has no direct competition, and in this day of technology I believe it has the potential to be one of the top cable TV networks.

As human beings, I concede that we may never achieve true perfection, as in a utopian society, but I like to think that perfection gives us something to strive for. Who would not want to live in a world with no social hatred, corruption, terrorism, and crime? Indeed, from a human perspective, imperfections are what make us unique and interesting.

By the way, that quote from Gladiator does have a lot of meaning and it is one I personally live by, so please don't knock it too much, OK? :)
February 21, 2004 | Unregistered CommenterTed N.
1) Nudity isn't pornography.

2) Losing respect for someone over a handful of nude or semi-nude photos (which isn't even close to a guarantee in this case) despite their other actions and qualities is ludicrous.

3) Admitting you live your life by a movie quote will always make you fair game for ridicule. Unless it's a Monty Python quote, and then they'll be laughing with you instead of at you. :D
February 21, 2004 | Unregistered CommenterMikey
Mmm, Ted N. I do agree that the majority of callers are male. And they do need to be more aggressive on picking up on advertising. It's the same on the website. Fresh content is always nice. I tire of the Circuit City ads. I can respect your decision. To each his own.
February 21, 2004 | Unregistered CommenterHyper Smiley
End result is this: doesn't matter. None of the girls will pose. Even if they did, realisically it wouldn't effect TechTV's overall ratings one bit. For every fan lost by a pictorial one would probably replace so the net result is zero movement. Business is about numbers on a spreadsheet, and thats all.Can go into the morality of it till the sun don't shine and cows fly high but in the end its a personal decison on the girl's part (and therefore none of our business) and a business decision on techTV's part to take advantage of the exposure (which we have no impact on unless bunches stop watching cause of it..which will not happen).

bill o'reilly says, "pose for playboy and those libertine socialist european bastards win again. if you don't pose i will send you a free signed copy of my new book 'who's looking out for you' and a spin stops here doormat!"

Hey what does deets mean? I'm from the midwest and we're a little slow to new words. In fact the words "hip" and "square" are just starting to be used back here. And the newest fasion is bell bottom pants and liesure suits. Anyway I'm assuming that it means details, but I just wanted to make sure.
February 23, 2004 | Unregistered CommenterDakin
Think you answered your own question there, Dakin. :) "Deets" = "details".

Or at least, that's what I'VE always assumed it was. Hoo, boy, if it's not I've just made a fool of myself in public.

Again.

Today.
February 23, 2004 | Unregistered CommenterMikey
Yea, because I'm sure a signed copy of bill's book is worth more than a playboy pay check...

:oP

Its Doubtfull sarah will read all of these. However, my two cents are basically that sarah is beyond beautiful and that men will always be drawn to beautiful women. Whats wrong with a little encouragement if it doesnt make her feel uncomfortable. Its when she feels uncomfortable that it becomes a problem.

actually i heard a rumor that it wasnt gonna be a nude photo shoot but actually i hear it is going to be a tasteful photo shoot along with an interveiw. Well if that is true that is a load off my mind. I kinda would feel bad voting for one of these girls to have to pose for playboy......wow after reflecting on what i just said i sound like one of 2 things A) a big loser B) the last guy who believe in chivalry. Im going with A. By the way im sure this is a big duh to everybody else but sarah actually check these things?

Well, I cant decide between these two posts so I'll just post both of them,

Post One: Dear Sarah, I have fallen deeply in love with your personality, adding nudity to the mix would destroy my perfect image of you.

Post Two: Dear Sarah, Please show us your Boobies.

Whatda think?
