Believe it or not, I had no idea TTV/Playboy had even gotten this far. It pays to snoop around! Stay tuned, as I will be.

But maybe they do want to do it. I mean, being choosen for playboy is a huge honor, how do you know they don't see it that way.
I'm sure none of this was forced on ANY of them, which is probably why some didn't even participate in the poll. I think some of you people are acting like tech t.v. threatened their jobs if they didnt', I seriously doubt that... and I'm sure if Kevin had a huge problem with it he wouldn't have let her even be in the poll, or not let her, I mean she can do what she wants I'm sure but if he really didn't want her to do it I'm sure she wouldn't.
No one's forcing anyone to do anything, including forcing you to vote. I however see voting as a way to support the girls of tech t.v.
damn, why is pervert such a bad word. Oh yea, liking sex, damn, bad bad people. No one should like sex, if they do they are a dirty pervert (sarcasm)
hehe, last night, seeing morgan as an 80's valley girl was funny but strangely unattracting. Adam was even funnier.
FLYING CARS...YEA!!!!! *devil sign*
I always remember thinking, in 2000 I'll be 22. I'll be an adult. I would imagine doing adult things and being all grown up. Now I feel like more of a kid than ever... but I thought we would have flying cars too lol.
Hehe, just kidding (unless you are gonna, then I'm not =P)
But then how would I decide who to vote for!
I have to say, you've always been my TechTV favorite so when I saw your pic for in the ad for the Playboy vote...I had to pick ya. Sorry Cat. Seriously though, Kevin is a lucky dude. Not only is he a brain, but he gets to hang out with the hottest girl on television. ;-)
This is from her Questionaire at PB.com...Could it be true???
PB:"If You Win, Will You Pose?"
SARAH:"That's a good question. What are we talking? I'll consider anything."
ANYTHING? C'mon, tell us the real deal gurl. We all wanna know.
Choosing Sarah was no contest but if those two had been involved I might have had to think about it for a few.
Hmm, well of course they all said "maybe" even they probably know votes would have been down if they flat out said no. And really what would be the point in participating if they knew flat out they wouldn't, kinda ruins the game. I just think this is too far into this to back out. I mean, what if the girl gets voted and goes "naaa, forget it" you know how many people that would piss off? I can't say enough I respect whatever decision is made regardless but you gotta see the point that if this thing made it this far it would really be a huge let down for people everywhere if they don't go through with it.
hehe, the ultimate tease, but playboy isn't known for teasing.
I'm to the point where I can't think about it anymore, even when we do find out next friday, and IF whoever poses, it would still take monthes probably to come out so... I opt for not thinking about it instead of driving myself crazy wondering.
damn, no more tech t.v. for me for a while. Guess that happens when you don't pay your direc t.v. bill :oP crap now I'm stuck with bad cable reception and bad reality shows. Me thinks the xbox is soon to start getting more play!
way I see it, how many guys can say they are going out with a smart and funny tech loving woman who is also a playmate? Is that really something to be complaining about?
I don't understand why TechTV management keeps wanting to appeal mostly to the young male audience. I hate to sound arrogant, but fact is high school and college students typically don't make enough money, if at all, to generate the revenues to sustain the network, like career workers do--not yet anyway.
In addition--and this may become a real shock to some people--there are more women in the workforce now. I work at a company where a fairly good percentage of women hold senior-level positions as vice presidents, directors, and managers. Furthermore, people have been speaking out against the Playboy/TechTV photo shoot from the beginning. Did it ever occur to anyone that this publicity stunt might actually backfire and hurt ratings?
Granted, men may currently make up the majority of TechTV's viewership, but why limit the demographic appeal?
I don't have anything against Laura Swisher, but, in her article about the poll, she said it's "great" that she and others at TechTV are being "honored" by Playboy.com. Here's a poll description excerpt from that website:
"If there's anything computer geeks love more than next-generation hardware and massive RAM, it's hot giga-babes. With the provocative motto 'New things. Turn us on,' the upstart TechTV network goes for the hard drive of nerd-dom by staffing its prime time lineup with some model-caliber techsperts. These plugged-in girls gone wired are just the motivation millions of guys need to drop their optical mice and shift their attention to the boob tube for a few hours a night."
I don't see much honor or respect in these sexual innuendos. Do you?
You may call me old fashion, but when I die, I want to be remembered for doing worthy things, fighting wrong, and doing the right thing. Being associated with some sleazy website is not something to be proud of, especially when beauty and intelligence can be truly appreciated elsewhere.
And if you have read this far, please remember this (from a Ridley Scott film):
"What we do in life echoes in eternity."
"Much ado about nothing..."-Shakespeare
Okay! This is in response to Ted N. Listen to the callers sometime. You'll see Tech TV has a very broad demographic. Hence the broad advertising. And mostly advertising supports Tech TV. In my opinion, the so called publicity stunt wouldn't hurt ratings. There are a lot of people who don't know of Tech TV and the crew. Viewers lost aren't worth having if they are that narrow minded. I also think it is a great honor to be propositioned by Playboy. We're not talking Hustler here. I think you've focused too hard on that excerpt into your own interpretation. Overall it states their beauty and intelligence as you've said. Sexual innuendos are just that. They're innuendos. Imagine switching places. The world see's you as a model-caliber techspert. Wouldn't you feel honored and respected? I know I would. If everyone saw me sexually I'd feel that much more special. As for the actions we take in life. It really doesn't matter. Everything balances itself out. There will never be a utopian society. There must be light and dark and the area between for our universe to exist. You're only as old as you make yourself out to be. And judge not lest ye' be judged. That last quote is meaningless to me as it is somewhat of a contradiction to individuality. Did those echoes of Playboy's make you do something you didn't wanna do? For those who have gotten this far. I will instead sing a song.
"Let it be. Let it be! Let it be. Oh!. Let it be. Speaking words of wisdom. Let it be..."
Oh, Sarah! Since Tech TV gave you Kevin. See if they'll give me to someone just as nice. ;)
Hyper-Smiley, I appreciate your more respectful tone in your response. I actually do watch Call For Help and The Screen Savers regularly, and the callers, as well as the guests, are mostly male. As for advertising, I see TechTV running the same commercials for weeks, if not months. Some are the lower quality type that runs through prime time, like that one for the stop-smoking product. This indicates to me that TechTV may not be aggressive enough in getting advertisers and companies to run their ads on the station.
Playboy.com is a pornographic site. Even though the pictures of the ladies at TechTV may be "PG-Rated", I just hated to see someone so intriguing and talented be associated with pornography, because to me it's not honorable. That's just how I feel about it. That's all.
TechTV has gone through so many changes since it was known as ZDTV, and there appears to have been some turbulent times there. I know someone personally who was laid off from TechTV many months ago. Now, it seems the network is resorting to sex to help ratings. Sure, sex sells, but it's shallow to think that this is the only way to be successful. Technology affects so many people and I believe TechTV is missing out on other markets. Like I said in an E-mail I sent to the company, TechTV has no direct competition, and in this day of technology I believe it has the potential to be one of the top cable TV networks.
As human beings, I concede that we may never achieve true perfection, as in a utopian society, but I like to think that perfection gives us something to strive for. Who would not want to live in a world with no social hatred, corruption, terrorism, and crime? Indeed, from a human perspective, imperfections are what make us unique and interesting.
By the way, that quote from Gladiator does have a lot of meaning and it is one I personally live by, so please don't knock it too much, OK? :)
2) Losing respect for someone over a handful of nude or semi-nude photos (which isn't even close to a guarantee in this case) despite their other actions and qualities is ludicrous.
3) Admitting you live your life by a movie quote will always make you fair game for ridicule. Unless it's a Monty Python quote, and then they'll be laughing with you instead of at you. :D
Or at least, that's what I'VE always assumed it was. Hoo, boy, if it's not I've just made a fool of myself in public.
Again.
Today.
:oP
Joe
p.s that face you made the nook cam last night on the show scared the hell out of me cuz it was first image that popped up lol.
Post One: Dear Sarah, I have fallen deeply in love with your personality, adding nudity to the mix would destroy my perfect image of you.
